Personal growth is not uniform. Habits take time to form, and not everything happens at once. Patience is your best ally. Keep going: the more you experiment, the more effective you will be.
We do not have unlimited time for our projects, so taking the time to regroup and learn before taking on a new phase or project is invaluable. You will inevitably have learned much along the way, so take the time to reassess. Your next project will be that much more successful because of those lessons.
A new year and a clean slate again. The new year is a great time to reevaluate how far we’ve come, where we are now, and what we want to do in the future.
I have learned so much, mainly about myself, and through that growth, I have learned of others, my friends and family, and my community. And so, I want to close this year with a summary of the main lessons that this year has left me in the hopes that they might be useful for you.
I find myself thinking that this is a case of mistaken priorities. Sometimes the most important work is not on our to-do list. It may be taking the time to go on that trip, see my family, and reclaim my roots.
If we are growing as business leaders, I guarantee we will be making mistakes. If we knew everything about what we are doing and could do it perfectly, we would not grow.
Personal development is the most significant investment you can make for yourself. Take the time, and watch your investment pay off as you improve at what you do.
Our companies, jobs, and work can easily become a part of our identity, and then the company’s fortunes eventually become intertwined with our own.
Following a dream is not easy. If it were, achieving dreams would not be as special. Keep going. Remember why you decided to embark on that path in the first place.
